EPFO 2026: Just before the New Year,the government has given young people a New Year’s gift. The Ministry of Labor and Employment tweeted on X,stating that under the Pradhan Mantri Vikas Bharat Rojgar Yojana,the government will provide an incentive of Rs 15,000 to young people who are entering a job for the first time and opening their EPFO account for the first time.
In its tweet,the Ministry of Labor and Employment wrote,“Under the Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana,young people who secure formal employment for the first time will be provided an incentive of up to 15,000 rupees. For more information,visit http://pmvbry.labor.gov.in.”
How to take advantage of this scheme?
To benefit from this government-issued Rs. 15,000 scheme,employees must first register with the EPFO. This means that if you are working on a contract basis and do not have an EPFO account,you will not be eligible for this scheme. You will receive this incentive from the government only after your EPFO account is opened. Employees must register by visiting pmvry.labour.gv.in.
The application process for this scheme is completely online. Interested candidates can register themselves by visiting the website pmvry.labour.gov.in and apply from the comfort of their homes.
