Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Launch: In line with its strategy to introduce an average of 4 new/updated products every year till 2027, Royal Enfield has launched the Shotgun 650. Now the company has 4 bikes in the 650cc range. More 650cc bikes like Classic 650, Bullet 650 and Himalayan 650 are expected to be launched later.

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 – Variants, Price, Features

Production of the new Shotgun 650 has started at the company’s Chennai plant. A total of three variants and four color options have been introduced. Ex-showroom price Rs 3.59 lakh – base model, custom shade available. Sheet metal gray single color option has been introduced with this trim.

As the trim name suggests, the Shotgun 650 comes with easy adaptive options. Users can instantly switch it from a single seat to a double seat or convert the bike into a luggage-carrying tourer. Such multipurpose features make this bike special. It is very easy to use in different situations design.

The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 lives up to its name with its sturdy quality and bobber-style. It includes round headlamps and rear-view mirrors, classic tear-drop fuel tank, circular turn indicators and tail lamps, low body panelling, blacked out engine parts and exhaust and wide rear fenders. The bike features LED headlamps, USB charging, gloss aluminum switchgear with adjustable levers and a comfortable bucket rider seat. A full digital tripper dial and digital speedometer are available inside the instruments.

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 specs and performance

The Shotgun 650 is built on a steel tubular spine frame. The suspension setup consists of a front Showa SF-BPF USD fork with 120 mm of travel and a 90 mm rear Showa twin shock absorber. The bike comes with 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels shod with 100/90 and 150/70 tires respectively. The braking setup consists of 320 mm and 300 mm discs at the front and rear with twin-piston floating calipers. Inside double-channel ABS is also available.

Powertrain

To power this bike, there is a 648cc, parallel twin, air-oil cooled SOHC engine which generates maximum power of 47 PS and peak torque of 52.3 Nm. Mated to a special 6-speed Competition gearbox. It has been claimed that its mileage is 22 km/litre. With a seat height of 795 mm, the control and handling of the bike is superb.
