Monsoon Forecast: IMD warns of heavy rainfall, snowfall and thunderstorms in these states

IMD Weather Update: In most parts of India, people’s lives have become miserable due to the extreme heat. The falling temperature has increased the heat level considerably, due to which everyone is troubled.

These days, the scorching heat in the national capital, Delhi, and surrounding areas. From Rajasthan to Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, extreme heat is being seen.

People are forced to go out with umbrellas to protect themselves from the sun. Everyone seems to be suffering due to the heat.

On the other hand, if we talk about Himalayan parts, rain, storms, and snowfall are being recorded. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert regarding heat in many areas of the country and, at some places, thunder and lightning as well as stormy rain.

 IMD Alert Heatwave

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a heat wave in different areas of the country. Extreme heat is expected in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and Bihar, Rayalaseema, and Konkan.

Temperatures are expected to cross 40 degrees Celsius in many districts of UP. The highest temperatures have been recorded in Bulandshahr, Prayagraj, Basti, Varanasi, Sultanpur, and Agra. The Meteorological Department has predicted heat waves in most areas of UP.

IMD Alert Rainfall

According to the Meteorological Department, an orange alert has been issued in view of heavy rains in Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh.

Talking about the North-Eastern states, a high alert has been issued in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Eastern Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Manipur regarding rain along with thunder and lightning. Along with light rain, there is also a possibility of thunder and lightning in Sikkim on May 1.

Moderate rain and snowfall are expected in many parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh during the next 48 hours. Light rain is expected in Uttarakhand.

Arunachal Pradesh may see light to moderate rain and snowfall. Light rain along with one or two isolated moderate rains may occur over Northeast India. Some areas of Marathwada, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and South Odisha may see rain along with storms. Similar weather can be seen in the northern areas of Punjab, too.
