Kawasaki ninja 400: Kawasaki has permanently discontinued its popular sports bike Ninja 400 in the Indian market. The Ninja 400 was launched as an upgrade to the Ninja 300, but it failed to attract customers due to its high price.

Competition between Pulsar NS400Z and Ninja 400

Recently Bajaj has launched its Pulsar NS400Z. It was believed that there would be a tough competition between these two motorcycles, but the price of Pulsar is only Rs 1.85 lakh. It is also the cheapest motorcycle in its segment. In such a situation, the company discontinued the Ninja 400. It has been replaced by the new Ninja 500, launched in February.

Features of Kawasaki Ninja 400

Talking about the features of Kawasaki Ninja 400, it has been given a muscular fuel tank. Along with this, the vehicle has twin LED headlights and clip-on handlebar, which make it attractive. The motorcycle features a semi-digital instrument cluster, 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels with green pinstripes. At the same time, its replacement Ninja 500 has an aggressive facia, signature split headlamp setup, which gives it a sporty and aggressive look. It comes with an LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. Many features of Ninja 400 and Ninja 500 are similar.

Kawasaki ninja 400 engine

The Kawasaki Ninja 400 was powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, which generated 44.3hp power and 37Nm peak torque. For transmission, it was mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch. Whereas, the Ninja 500 bike comes with a 451cc, parallel-twin engine, which produces 45bhp power and 42.6Nm torque. The special thing is that the ex-showroom price of both these motorcycles is Rs 5.24 lakh. The company has not made any change in the prices of Ninja 500.
