Jeep Meridian: Friends, if you want to buy jeep SUV then there is good news for you, yes your favorite American car manufacturer Zip has confirmed to launch the facelift version of Meridian in India this year. This 7-seater SUV is a bigger version of Zip Compass and in the Indian market it will compete with vehicles like Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster. Let’s know about this cool car
Till now, jeephas not given official information about Meridian facelift, but it is believed that some minor design changes can be made in it. For example, new front and rear bumpers, new design of headlamps and new design of alloy wheels can also be found.
Talking about the features, some such features can also be found in Meridian facelift, which were recently given in jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition. These include dashcam and air purifier at the front and rear. Apart from this, features like sunroof, 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, second and third row reclining seats, wireless charger and ambient lighting from the existing model are also expected to be retained in the facelift model.
Engine and Performance
Jeep currently offers the Meridian in India only with the 2.0-litre diesel engine. This engine generates power of 170hp and torque of 350Nm. The option of 6-speed manual or 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission is available with this engine.
According to reports, jeep is also testing a petrol engine option for the Meridian in India, but it will first be introduced in the Compass.
Price and launch
The current ex-showroom price of jeep Meridian in India ranges between Rs 33.60 lakh to Rs 39.66 lakh. It is being speculated that there may be a slight increase in the price of the facelift model.
Zip will first launch the Wrangler facelift in India on April 22 and will be followed by the Meridian facelift. It is expected that the jeep Meridian facelift will be launched sometime in 2024.
