Navratri Fasting Rules: 

1) During Navratri, do not sleep on the bed for 9 days. People who fast for nine days should not sleep on the bed. If you keep fast during Navratri, sleep on the ground.

2) Only pure and satvik food should be eaten during Navratri. During Navratri, consumption of onion, garlic, meat, wine, liquor, etc. is considered prohibited for nine days. Therefore, stay away from this.

3) During Navratri, nine small girls should be fed on Ashtami and Navami days.

4) Do not insult any woman, even by mistake, during Navratri. Respect everyone. Do not use abusive words, even by mistake.

5) Hair and nails should not be cut during Navratri. Maa Durga may get angry with you.

6) Do not lie to anyone during Navratri. Along with this, you are advised to avoid getting angry during Navratri.

7)During Navratri, leather items should not be bought or used for nine days. Animal skin is used to make leather items.

8) During Navratri, do not use lemon at home. Lemon is considered inauspicious. It is believed that cutting a lemon is like a sacrifice.

9) You should avoid wearing black clothes During Navratri and also avoid items made of leather.

10) Do not get nails and hair cut during Navratri.
