The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, has launched the MeitY Digital India Internship Scheme to provide valuable work experience to students for a limited period. The scheme is open to Indian students enrolled in recognized universities who have achieved a minimum of 60% marks in their most recent degree or certificate examinations. Interested and eligible students must apply online exclusively through the Ministry’s Web Portal for the internship program in the year 2022.
Benefits
Interns participating in the MeitY Digital India Internship Scheme will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 10,000, subject to satisfactory performance certified by their supervisors or mentors. Upon completion of the internship and submission of the report, duly accepted by the Competent Authority, interns will be issued certificates by the Ministry.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the internship, students must meet the following criteria
- Indian citizenship
- Enrollment in recognized universities in India
- Attainment of at least 60% marks in the most recent degree or certificate examination
- Pursuing specified fields of study
Note: Students in their last semester or graduating in summer 2022 are not eligible. Only students in the previous academic year may apply.
