School Summer Holidays: Good news for school students and their parents. The temperature is rising everywhere. For that, so many people are suffering. School and college students are also fighting with severe heat. Meanwhile, the state government takes a big decision regarding summer holidays. Children, parents, and teachers of Uttar Pradesh are waiting for the summer vacation schedule. Even though the UP Basic Education Department has not yet released any official circular for 2025, the estimated period of summer holidays can be decided by looking at the academic calendar of previous years.
Summer Vacation Dates
In the year 2024, the UP government had announced summer vacation from 20 May to 15 June. Looking at the same pattern, holidays are expected from 18 May to 15 June in 2025 as well. The total period of holidays can be around 28 days. Summer vacations will be valid in all government, aided, and most private schools.
The possible date for reopening of schools could be 16th or 17th June 2025.
The Basic Education Officer (BSA) of each district issues the holiday circular by mid-May.
Some schools may also offer online homework, summer camps or creative workshops during the holidays.

Diwali Holiday – 1st November to 5th November 2024
Winter Vacation – 31 December 2024 to 14 January 2025
Keep an eye on your school’s website and notice board. Keep checking the UP Basic Education Department’s website upbasiceduboard.gov.in. Prepare for summer courses, holiday planning and creative activities according to these estimated dates. During the holidays, focus on hobbies and skills along with studies.
