Haryana E-Rickshaw news: A new dress code is being implemented for auto and e-rickshaw drivers in Jind city in Haryana from April 1, 2025. Now these drivers will be seen wearing khaki uniforms. Recently, keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, posters with the driver’s name, mobile number and other information were pasted inside and outside the auto and e-rickshaw. Now the uniform has been prescribed for them by the police administration.
Name badge will be on the uniform
Traffic Police Incharge Inspector Shamsher Singh said that strict action will be taken against auto and e-rickshaw drivers who do not follow the instructions. The police department has their record. If someone acts arbitrarily, he will be easily identified. It will be mandatory for all auto and e-rickshaw drivers to wear khaki uniform with a badge on the left side. An order has been issued to the auto rickshaw union in this regard.
These rules have to be followed
Tape has to be put on all autos and e-rickshaws. There should be a fixed rod between the driver and the passenger in the first row. Passengers will be able to board and alight only from the left side. There should not be any additional or folding seat above the tool box near the driver’s seat and behind the driver’s seat. Apart from this, the vehicle should pass the fitness test in all the rules of road safety.
The name of the driver, operator, mobile number, permit and fitness validity should be written in big letters on the left side behind the vehicle. It will be necessary to write emergency number 112, police helpline number 100, ambulance 108 and women helpline number 1091 in clear letters inside and outside the vehicle. Now the uniform has been prescribed for them by the police administration.
