What a catch by Mitchell Starc. From Day 1, he has been bowling absolute on fire. Took 7 Wickets in the first innings of the match and now, on Day 2 of the 1st Test of The Ashes, the tall pacer got a stunning catch on his own bowling.

The first match of the Ashes 2025-26 is being played between Australia and England at the Perth Stadium. The first day of this match was very exciting in which a total of 19 wickets fell. The same excitement is being seen in the second day’s play as well.

Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc, who took a total of 7 wickets in England’s first innings, started the bowling in the second innings in a very impressive manner. Starc took a one-handed catch of England’s opening batsman Jack Crawley in the very first over of the second innings, which left everyone astonished.

Australia’s first innings was reduced to 132 runs as play began on the second day of the Perth Test. England were hoping for a better start from their opening pair in the second innings, but Mitchell Starc dealt them a major blow in the form of Zak Crawley in his very first over. Starc bowled the fifth ball of his first over of the second innings, slightly outside off-stump, and Crawley attempted a straight shot. The ball bounced back in the air, prompting Starc to react quickly, diving to his left and catching it with one hand. Crawley’s face was clearly surprised when Starc took the catch, leaving the rest of the Australian players on the field completely stunned.

Vaas had dismissed batsmen for ducks 68 times in Tests, while Mitchell Starc has achieved this feat 69 times so far. The name of former Pakistani player Wasim Akram is at the top of this list, who has done this feat 79 times.
