Indian cricket fans were eagerly waiting to see their legends, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma live in action. Last evening, when these two batters played against South Africa in Ranchi, in turned into a blockbuster. Kohli scored century, Sharma scored half-century.
Virat Kohli, upon returning, showed the world why he is considered the greatest batsman of this era. He scored a century in the first match of the ongoing ODI series against South Africa at the JSCA International Stadium. Kohli reached his century in 102 balls, marking his 52nd ODI century. After Kohli’s century, a fan jumped onto the field and grabbed his feet.

As Virat Kohli was reaching his century, a fan dodged security guards and ran onto the field and fell at Kohli’s feet. Kohli was celebrating by kissing his ring. Security guards quickly apprehended the fan and escorted him out. Kohli reached his half-century in just 48 balls. He completed the half-century with a six off Corbin Bosch. Kohli then completed his century with a four.
Virat Kohli holds the record for most centuries in the ODI format. The 37-year-old has scored 52 centuries in 306 matches, amassing over 14,000 runs during this period. He has also hit over 150 sixes in this format.

Sachin Tendulkar is second in the list of most centuries in ODI cricket, having scored 49 centuries in 463 matches. Rohit Sharma is third with 33 centuries in 277 ODIs. Ricky Ponting has scored 30 centuries, while Sanath Jayasuriya has scored 28 centuries. These players are in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
