In this match played in Odisha, India, batting first at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, scored just 175 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target, South Africa collapsed for 74 runs in 12.3 overs, and India won the match by 101 runs. After the match, Arshdeep Singh discussed his partnership with Jasprit Bumrah and congratulated Bumrah on reaching 100 T20 International wickets.
While speaking with Jio Hotstar, Arshdeep Singh said about Jasprit Bumrah, “I have a great relationship with him. He’s a gentle senior, never harsh on the youngsters, and always very polite. Being Punjabis also makes it easy for us to get along. Bowling with him makes things easier for me because batsmen usually try to attack my overs. Even bad balls can get me wickets because they know they won’t get easy runs on the other side. This benefits me, and I really enjoy bowling with him.”
