The Indian cricket team suffered a humiliating 2-0 defeat against South Africa in the two-match Test series. Following this series, Team India players and coach Gautam Gambhir are facing severe criticism. Now, Indian Test captain Shubman Gill has tweeted after Team India’s defeat, which is going viral.
Shubman Gill vowed to stand storng together
Another series loss has hurt both the team and its fans. Meanwhile, an injured Gill posted a strong message, saying his team will “emerge stronger.” Gill wrote on Twitter, “Calm seas don’t teach you how to sail, it’s the storms that forge strong hands. We will continue to believe in each other, fight for each other, and move forward – and emerge stronger.”
Gill’s omission from the team proved to be a major setback. The Indian captain suffered a neck injury in the first innings of the Kolkata Test. He was declared retired hurt and subsequently ruled out of the match, which India lost by 30 runs. After receiving treatment from doctors in Kolkata, Gill arrived in Guwahati under the supervision of the BCCI medical team.
However, due to time constraints, he was also ruled out of the Guwahati Test. Vice-captain Rishabh Pant was given the captaincy in his place. Under Pant’s leadership, the team lost by 408 runs.
Calm seas don’t teach you how to steer, it’s the storm that forges steady hands. We’ll continue to believe in each other, fight for each other, and move forward – rising stronger. 🇮🇳

It is believed that Gill will not be able to play in the remaining matches of this year. Although India’s next Test match is still far away, the team must begin preparing for a comeback now. It is possible that India’s dominance at home may become history. South Africa’s first Test series win in 25 years is a major blow for India. Chasing 459 runs was not easy, but the Indian team should have shown its strength in this match.
