This time in IPL 2025, Team India’s star wicketkeeper, Rishabh Pant, is captaining Lucknow Super Giants. In the mega-auction, LSG bought him for Rs 27 crore, making him the most expensive player in IPL history. However, Pant’s bat has been silent so far this season. He has scored only 19 runs in five matches, with his best score being just 15 runs. On one occasion, he got out without scoring any runs.
Despite this, the Lucknow team is performing well. They have played five matches so far, winning three and losing two. Pant, who is known for making players laugh with his playful talks on the field, expressed his wish to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to dinner during an interview.
Rishabh Pant’s Heartfelt Dinner Wish
In an interview, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant was asked which three people he would take to dinner if given the chance. Pant first named tennis legend Roger Federer, saying, “I enjoy Federer’s game a lot.” Next, he mentioned football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Finally, Pant named Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sharing, “I learn a lot from PM Modi. So, if I get a chance, I would love to take him to dinner.”
Pant’s Gratitude Towards PM Modi After Accident
After India won the T20 World Cup last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited all the players of Team India to his residence. During this visit, Rishabh Pant expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister. Pant recalled that when he had an accident, PM Modi personally called his mother to check on his condition. Pant mentioned, “My mother told me that your call had come. Thank you for that.”
Pant also shared that after recovering from the accident, people questioned whether he would ever be able to do wicket-keeping again. In response, PM Modi reassured him, saying, “I took the opinion of the doctor on whether you should be sent abroad for treatment. But all of this was your mother’s blessing. It felt like your mother was assuring me that everything would be fine.”
Pant had suffered a car accident on December 30, 2022, while traveling from Delhi to Dehradun, and was severely injured.
