Vaibhav Suryavanshi just shifted to another level as a cricketer. His batting talent was already well established when India went to face South Africa where Vaibhav was the leader of India Under-19 in place of Ayush Mhatre. After showing batting talent, Vaibhav Suryavanshi proved his leadership qualities as well for the team.

The Indian Under-19 cricket team completed a clean sweep of the three-match ODI series against South Africa . India comfortably defeated the hosts in the third and final match at Willowmoore Park in Benoni , securing a 3-0 series win. This marked Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s first series win as captain.

Historic series win for Vaibhav Suryavanshi

This match also saw a captaincy performance from Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Batting first after losing the toss, India posted a mammoth total of 393 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs . Openers Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Aaron George scored brilliant centuries. Captain Vaibhav played an aggressive innings of 127 runs, while Aaron contributed 118 runs. Their partnership solidified the Indian innings and did not give the host bowlers any chance.

Vedant Trivedi also scored 34 runs, while Mohammad Enan contributed 28 runs. Chasing a target of 394, the South African Under-19 team appeared completely helpless against the Indian bowlers. Kishan Singh bowled lethally , delivering early blows and taking several wickets . The hosts lost wickets at regular intervals and were unable to withstand the big total. Daniel Bosman and Paul James tried to add some runs, but it wasn’t enough.

Paul James top-scored with 41, and Daniel Bosman added 40. The South African team was all out for 160 in 35 overs. Kishan Singh bowled brilliantly for Team India . He conceded just 15 runs in his four overs , dismissing three batsmen. Mohammad Ena took two wickets . Henil Patel, Kanishk Chauhan , Uddhav Mohan, RS Ambris , and Vaibhav Suryavanshi each took one wicket.
