Krishak Samriddhi Yojana: Big news for farmer’s. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a significant gift to the farmers of Uttar Pradesh. In addition to the Kisan Credit Card, they can now also obtain loans of up to Rs 6 lakh under the Chief Minister’s Farmer Prosperity Scheme. Furthermore, the Yogi government will provide a subsidy on the interest charged on these loans.

The Chief Minister’s Farmer Prosperity Scheme currently offers loans at an 11 percent interest rate, but the government has introduced a 5 percent subsidy, bringing the effective rate down to just 6 percent. This means you can borrow Rs 6 lakh at this reduced rate. The Chief Minister unveiled a dedicated portal for this initiative today. CM Yogi highlighted that farmers previously accessed loans from the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Rural Development Bank at 11 percent interest, which has now been cut to 6 percent.
