The government’s Finance Department has announced the payment dates for salaries and pensions for October 2026. On Wednesday, September 23, the Finance Department issued a notification regarding these payments. This decision, taken by the West Bengal government, is set to benefit employees and pensioners greatly.
Details of Payments to be Made
According to the government memorandum, the salary for state government employees for the month of October will be released on October 15, 2026. Payments for grant-in-aid salaries, wages, stipends, and honorariums will also be made on this date.
Pension Payment Schedule
Regarding pensions, payments to retirees will also be made on October 15. Additionally, the increased Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) applicable to employees and pensioners will be paid out.

No Delays in Payment
The Finance Department has instructed relevant officials to submit bills related to salaries and pensions, as well as other necessary payment documents, to the respective treasuries on time. They have been directed to ensure there is absolutely no delay in the payment process.
