JSW Combat PHEV: JSW is set to make a significant move in the Indian auto market with its first SUV. The company’s new JSW Combat PHEV is expected to be launched in India before the end of 2026. It will be a five-seat premium SUV, and it will use electric motors along with a petrol engine. Design of JSW Combat PHEV

The new JSW Combat has a strong, boxy design. Its look will be similar to Jetour T2, in which Upright Body and Squared-Off Proportions are visible. LED headlamps will be provided in front, while roof rails and large 20-inch alloy wheels will enhance its rugged look. Its combat will be built on a monocoque chassis.

1.5-litre Turbo Petrol

The biggest feature of the JSW Combat PHEV will be its engine. It is expected to get two electric motors with a 1.5-litre turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine. This entire setup will be used as a plug-in hybrid system.

The India-bound model is expected to get an 18.4 kWh battery pack. With this configuration, the SUV can run for about 90 km on electric power alone. The Global Jetour T2 PHEV uses 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission.

Cabin

Let us tell you that Combat will be positioned in the premium SUV segment; hence, it is expected to have many high-tech features in its cabin. The biggest attraction on the dashboard might be the 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

If we discuss its price, the JSW Combat PHEV is expected to be priced above ₹ 30 lakh. In this range, it will get a place in the premium SUV segment. The company can compete with recently launched models like the Kia Sorento and MG Hector Tomahawk.
