Tata Aeris Launch: Tata Motors has launched its compact new sedan, the Tata Aeris, in the Indian market. It is essentially a facelifted and rebranded version of the Tigor, but the company has introduced significant changes to its design, interior, and features. Its starting price is ₹5.30 lakh, while the top variant goes up to ₹9.75 lakh. It offers petrol and CNG engine options, manual and AMT gearboxes, and features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 360-degree camera.

Tata Aeris Price and Variants

The Tata Aeris has been launched in five variants: Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative, and Accomplished. The price for the petrol manual starts at ₹5.30 lakh, and the petrol AMT starts at ₹6.70 lakh. Meanwhile, the starting price for the iCNG manual is ₹6.30 lakh.

The price for the top ‘Accomplished’ variant is ₹8.20 lakh for the petrol manual, ₹8.75 lakh for the petrol AMT, and ₹9.20 lakh for the iCNG manual. The most expensive version, the iCNG AMT, is priced at ₹9.75 lakh.

Tata Aeris New Design

Significant changes have been made to the exterior to give the Tata Aeris a distinct identity compared to the older Tigor. The front features new, sharp LED headlamps and DRLs. It also sports a new 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheel design.

At the rear, it gets connected LED tail lamps and a wide lower grille featuring C-shaped housing. To give the sedan a robust, SUV-like appearance, wheel-arch cladding, a dual-tone black roof, and a shark-fin antenna have been added. Additionally, chrome-line door handles, a raised bonnet, and a sculpted boot section give it a fresh profile.

Tata Aeris Interior

As for the interior, the cabin of the new Tata Aeris has become much more modern. It features a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system. It comes equipped with a 5-inch all-digital instrument cluster.

The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also features Tata’s iRA connectivity suite. The Aeris offers amenities such as wireless charging, a dual-smartphone dock, ventilated leatherette front seats, and automatic climate control.

AC vents are provided for rear passengers. Additional features include a six-speaker audio system, 65W Type-C charging, PEPS (Passive Entry Push-button Start), a cooled glovebox, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. The AMT version comes with a rotary gear selector and paddle shifters.

1.2-litre Petrol and CNG Engines

Regarding the powertrain, the Tata Aeris is equipped with a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine. It generates 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.

In the CNG version, the same 1.2-litre engine delivers 75.5 PS of power and 96.5 Nm of torque. CNG variants also offer a choice between a 5-speed manual and an AMT transmission. The petrol version features a 35-litre fuel tank, while the iCNG model comes with a CNG tank boasting a 70-litre water capacity.

Tata Aeris Safety

For safety, the Aeris comes with six airbags as standard. It is equipped with ESP, ABS, EBD, Corner Stability Control, Hill-Hold Control, and ISOFIX mounts. Other safety features include iTPMS, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and a rear defogger. Top-end variants offer features such as a dashcam recorder, a 360-degree SVS HD camera, a blind-view monitor, and an HD reversing camera.
