SAIL, one of the country’s leading steel-producing companies, has begun recruiting for 124 Management Trainee (Technical) positions. Most importantly, these positions require no experience, and selected candidates can earn up to ₹1.80 lakh per month after training.

Who can apply? (Eligibility Criteria)

SAIL has opened this recruitment drive for seven engineering disciplines. Candidates who have completed B.Tech/B.E. in the following subjects can apply:

  • Chemical
  • Civil
  • Computer Science
  • Electrical
  • Instrumentation
  • Mechanical
  • Metallurgy

Eligibility by Marks and Category

General and OBC candidates must have a minimum of 65% marks in all semesters.

This limit is 55% for SC/ST and PwD candidates.

Age Limit

Maximum age 28 years.

Reserved categories will receive relaxation as per government rules.

The application process for SAIL Recruitment has started on November 15, 2025.

The last date to apply is December 5, 2025.

How will the selection process be conducted? (Selection Process)

The selection process for the Management Trainee position at SAIL will be conducted in three stages:

1. Online Written Examination

Which will include:

Questions from technical subjects

Reasoning Ability

General Awareness

2. Group Discussion (GD)

Candidates who pass the examination will be called for the GD.

3. Interview and Medical Test

Final merit will be determined based on the GD and interview scores.

What will be the Salary? (Salary Structure)

Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹50,000 per month during the one-year training period.

Upon appointment after training, the salary will be ₹60,000 to ₹1,80,000 per month.

Periodic promotions and other benefits will also be available.
