Total Posts and Departments

This recruitment drive will recruit young people as apprentices in various departments of the Railways, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Carriage & Wagon, Signal, etc. The total number of vacancies is 4,116, making it one of the largest apprentice recruitments this year.

Educational Qualifications

The Railways has also set minimum educational qualifications, which are as follows:

  • Candidates must have passed Class 10th/SSC from a recognised board.
  • At least 50% marks in Class 10th are mandatory.
  • Applicants must have an ITI certificate in the relevant trade.

This qualification ensures that candidates acquire the necessary technical skills during training.

Age Limit and Age Relaxation

Candidates must meet the age requirements set for recruitment. RRC has provided age relaxation for different categories:

  • SC/ST: 5 years relaxation in the maximum age
  • OBC: 3 years relaxation
  • PwBD: 10 years relaxation

  • General/OBC category: ₹100
