According to the notification issued by WCL, apprentices will be recruited in various trades and departments in this recruitment. These key positions include:
- Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA)
- Fitter
- Welder
- Surveyor
- Electrician
- Machinist
- Other Technical Trades
A total of 1,213 seats are available for eligible candidates.
Educational Qualification
Applying candidates must possess one of the following qualifications from a recognised institute/board:
- 10th Pass
- 12th Pass
- ITI Trade
- Diploma
- Graduation

How Much Stipend Will Be Received? (WCL Stipend 2025)
Selected candidates will receive a stipend during the apprenticeship period, depending on the position—
₹8,200 to ₹12,300 per month.
This amount will be provided as financial assistance to candidates during training.
Age Limit
The age limit for recruitment is as follows:
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 26 years
Age will be calculated as of August 1, 2025. However, reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government rules.
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwD: 10 years
