Even before the embers of his funeral pyre have cooled, questions about his successor have begun to arise in people’s minds. Sanjay Raut gives a major statement.
Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut said that it is inhumane to talk about the successor of NCP chief and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar immediately after his tragic death. Sanjay Raut further added, “It is inhumane to talk about this (leadership) issue. If anyone has raised this issue, they lack even a shred of humanity.
Whether they are ministers or MLAs. That woman (Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra) has lost her husband. She (Sunetra Pawar) is still grieving. It is not appropriate to talk about the future of the NCP right now.”
What will be the future of the NCP?
After the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, the future of the NCP under his leadership has become a major question. In the last few months, the closeness between Ajit Pawar and his uncle Sharad Pawar had been increasing significantly. They had even contested the BMC elections together, attempting to resolve their differences to a great extent.
There was even speculation that the reconciliation between the uncle and nephew was in its final stages. After Ajit’s death, if his party merges with his uncle’s, then the political equations of Maharashtra could change significantly. To maintain and carry forward the political legacy of the ruling NCP leader Ajit Pawar, his wife Sunetra Pawar could be proposed for the post of Deputy Chief Minister.
