Weather Updates: The weather has changed again in Delhi-NCR. Light rain and strong thunderstorms hit parts of the Delhi NCR today (Monday, June 15). Delhi’s weather has become pleasant today, and people have got a lot of relief from the heat. The Department of Meteorology (IMD) said in its latest bulletin that the southwest monsoon has moved into the rest of Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, and some other areas of Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar today, June 15, 2026.

The IMD has also issued an alert for heavy to heavy rains at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya during the next 6-7 days.

The Met department has said that a heat wave is likely to hit parts of Telangana and Vidarbha during the next 2-3 days. As for the weather in Bihar, an alert has been issued for strong winds, thunderstorms and lightning in several districts of the state. According to the Met Department, strong winds of 50 to 60 km per hour may blow on June 16. So let’s know which states in the country have been issued a rain alert.

The Met Department has issued an alert for heavy rains in northeastern India and West Bengal. The IMD has said that isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya are likely to experience heavy rains for the next 6-7 days.

According to the Met Department, an alert has been issued for heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from June 15 to 21. Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness widespread rainfall during June 18-21, the IMD said. The Met Department has issued an alert for thundershowers in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh on different days during June 15-21. Light rain, dust storms, and thunder are expected over the next 24 hours.

According to the Met Department, an alert has been issued for rain at some places in Chhattisgarh, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and western Madhya Pradesh during June 15-21.

The Met Department has issued a rain warning in the Gangetic areas of West Bengal during June 15-19. in Bihar and Jharkhand during June 15-21, according to the Met Department; Rain is likely at isolated places in Odisha during June 17-21.
