UP Weather Alert: Like other states, the monsoon is at its peak in Uttar Pradesh too. The continuous thundering clouds and dripping water are hampering normal life. The situation is getting worse, due to which everyone is very upset. There are many villages and towns in UP where people have had to leave their homes and go to safer places due to the ingress of rainwater.
In western UP, there is humid heat amidst the clouds since morning. In many places, more than 500 villages are in the grip of floods due to the rising water level of rivers. A lot of water is coming in the Ganga, Yamuna and Ramganga rivers. Thousands of acres of crops have also been cut due to the strong flow.

Heavy rain alert in these districts
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj and Siddharth Nagar. An orange alert has been issued here. Along with this, an alert has been issued for heavy rain with thunderstorms in Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri and Sitapur. Heavy rain is expected in Bareilly, Pilibhit and surrounding areas.

According to the IMD, heavy rain is expected in Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia and Hardoi. Heavy rain is expected in Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar and Unnao.
Heavy rain may also occur in Lucknow, Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Saharanpur, Bijnor and Amroha. There is a possibility of lightning and rain in Moradabad, Rampur, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, and Badau. A yellow alert has been issued in the surrounding area.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur and Chandauli. There may be heavy rain in Varanasi, Bhadohi, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur and Sant Kabir Nagar.
