LPG ATM: These days, people all over the country are anxious about cooking gas. Many are concerned about when their cylinders might run out and if they will even be available. Worries about supply interruptions have resulted in long lines outside gas agencies. In the meantime, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has offered considerable relief by launching an LPG ATM in Gurugram as a pilot project.
This initiative has been introduced by Bharat Gas, a subsidiary of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, with the aim of providing people with easy and quick access to gas around the clock. How does the LPG ATM function?
The LPG ATM utilizes a fully digital and automated system. Consumers can refill their cylinders in just a few straightforward steps. First, they need to input their registered mobile number into the machine and verify it with an OTP. Next, they scan the QR code or barcode on their empty cylinder and proceed to make a payment via UPI, debit card, or other digital methods. Once the transaction is completed, the machine keeps the empty cylinder and dispenses a filled one within 2 to 3 minutes.

This LPG ATM can hold around 10 gas cylinders and is equipped with a system that notifies nearby gas agencies when the LPG stock is running low, ensuring a timely supply of gas.
How can you take advantage of this service?
Currently, this facility is limited to consumers who are connected with the Bharat Gas Agency in the area. However, since it is a pilot project, if it proves successful, it may be expanded to other cities and regions in the future. It’s important to note that the cylinders available from this ATM are not made of iron; they are composite cylinders made from fiber. Weighing about 15 kg, they do not rust, are user-friendly, and have a transparent body that allows for easy visibility of the gas level.
