Sawan Somwar 2025: 14th July is the first Monday of Sawan. On the first Monday of Sawan, a huge crowd of devotees is seen in the temples since morning. This time, Sawan Monday is special. Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha of Sawan is on Monday. The month of Sawan is very dear to Lord Shiva.

It is believed that devotees who observe a fast with devotion on every Monday of Sawan and worship Lord Shiva with rituals experience relief from the significant obstacles of life. This worship can be especially fruitful for those struggling with health problems or facing challenges in their marriage. Offer Ganga water, Belpatra, raw milk, cannabis and dhatura, honey and sugar candy to Lord Shiva.

Sawan Somwar Pujan Vidhi

Wear clean clothes after bathing early in the morning. You can install a Shiva lingam at home, or you can also go to the nearest Shiva temple. Perform Abhishek of Shivling with water, milk, curd, ghee, honey and Ganga water. After this, offer Belpatra, Aak-Dhatura, and white flowers on the Shivling. Chant the mantra “Om Namah Shivaya” 108 times. In the evening, chant the mantras of the Lord again and do his Aarti.
