Vande Bharat Sleeper: Indian Railways has recently introduced the Vande Bharat Sleeper, which has quickly gained popularity online due to its impressive design and high-end features. Videos showcasing the interiors of this newly launched train are trending on social media, with both passengers and vloggers referring to it as a “moving 5-star hotel.” Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January 2026, the train is now in the spotlight for its opulent interiors. The viral footage offers a sneak peek into the train’s bedding and dining services.

An Instagram user named jhilik_oindrila shared this video, where a passenger complimented the newly designed bedding available on the train. The clip featured a berth dressed in vibrant block-print sheets, a refreshing change from the usual plain white sheets found in AC coaches. The passenger humorously remarked that the new design eliminates the “mortuary-like” atmosphere associated with the old bedding.
The upgraded linen kit consists of a bedsheet, a pillow with a cover, a woolen blanket with a cover, and a hand towel. Railway officials have stated that these enhanced kits are being rolled out in AC classes to ensure a more comfortable and luxurious travel experience.
Another viral video highlighted the meal delivery service on board, with one vlogger likening it to “airplane-like service.” The footage depicted railway staff wearing gloves, masks, and hairnets as they distributed sealed meal containers using clean, enclosed trolleys. Passengers have noted the improved hygiene and presentation of the food.

Importantly, the Vande Bharat Sleeper train’s Howrah-Guwahati (Kamakhya) route was inaugurated by Narendra Modi on January 17th. It is anticipated to cut travel time by about 2.5 hours. With a design speed of 180 kmph and 16 coaches, it has the capacity to accommodate over 800 passengers across various AC classes. The Vande Bharat Sleeper is a key part of Indian Railways’ ambitious initiative to modernize older sleeper trains.
Such viral videos have not only generated excitement but also raised new hopes among passengers that train travel will now be a blend of luxury and convenience.
