Kia Carens facelift :- KIA Carens makes its debut in India with the launch of the 2024 version of the 3 Series RV. The South Korean company has updated the Carens range with nine new models, taking the total model to Rs.30, 100,000 (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the price of the new model starts at Rs 12.11 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-of-the-line X-Line model has now been upgraded with exclusive features and is priced at Rs 19.67 lakh (ex-showroom). Let’s see what changes have happened behind Kia Carens’ face.
Kia Carens facelift
New variants of Kia has added a new 1.5-litre diesel engine to the Carens, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. This helped the automaker launch 9 new models across all competitions. The new U2 1.5 VGT diesel manual option will be available in 6-passenger and 7-passenger configurations. This model is offered in Premium, Premium (O), Prestige, Prestige, Luxury and Luxury + trim options.
Engine and performance
Kia Carens new engine with facelift Kia Carens once offered three engine options: 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine, 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine and 1.5-liter diesel engine. Kia has not yet announced the power output of the new U2 1.5 VGT diesel engine. The available 1.5-litre diesel engine is offered with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The engine is capable of producing 113bhp and 250Nm of maximum torque.
New color options
For the facelifted Kia Carens Kia has updated the exterior colors for the Carens. The automaker has added Pewter Olive color to all trims except the X-Line model. This color was first introduced on Kia’s facelifted SUV, Seltos. Overall, Kia Carens customers can now choose from eight single-tone, three two-tone and one matte grey, available only in X-Line trim.
New features
KIA Carens facelift has presented a special list of X-Line models for the first time since October last year. Other added features specific to this trim include a dashcam and voice command to control all windows. Kia has also added a seven-passenger configuration to the X-Line, which was previously only sold as a six-passenger option. The charger launched by Carens X-Line is now more powerful with the new 180W charger replacing the old 120W charger.

This feature is now standard on all models. Kia has added features to other models. The Prestige + (O) variant comes with a 6-speed automatic and 7-speed DCT transmission. It has solar lights, LED map lights and interior lights. Prestige (0) is available in 6-passenger and 7-passenger configurations. It includes faux leather-covered glass door handles, smart key with push-button start, LED reversing lights, LED daytime running lights and headlights. Premium (0) trim has good security features like keyless entry, 8-speaker audio, steering wheel-mounted controls, shark fin antenna, anti-theft alarm.
