New Delhi: A shocking incident has emerged from the Sheetla Mata Temple in Nalanda,Bihar,leaving everyone deeply shaken. The Chief Minister has directed that compensation be provided to the dependents of the deceased,comprising ₹4 lakh from the Disaster Management Department and ₹2 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (totalling ₹6 lakh). Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stated that this incident is deeply tragic and that he is profoundly distressed by it. Acting on CM Nitish Kumar’s directives,senior officials have reached the accident site and are actively engaged in relief and rescue operations. The Chief Minister has wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident and has directed that they receive appropriate medical treatment.

According to eyewitnesses,the accident was horrific. On the auspicious occasion of Sheetlashtami,a massive crowd of devotees had gathered at the Sheetla Mata Temple since early morning. The crowd swelled even further due to the ongoing ‘Mangala Mela’ (fair).

Amidst this gathering,several women fainted and collapsed,triggering sudden chaos and panic. People began stumbling and falling over one another,leading to a stampede-like situation.
