Monsoon Alert: The weather is showing its varied moods. As a result, there is rain in some places and cloudy skies in others. The cold wave is also disrupting daily life, causing inconvenience to people. Due to continuous snowfall in the mountains, the risk of avalanches has increased. Several routes are blocked, causing problems for travellers.
The activity of the Western Disturbance continues in most parts of North India. Rain in some parts of South India has led to a slight drop in temperature. Dense fog is also expected in several areas of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued warnings for rain, dense fog, and cold waves in various regions.
Delhi Weather Update
According to the IMD, a drop in temperature is expected in the national capital Delhi l, high on Saturday. According to the Air Quality Early Warning System report, the air quality is likely to remain in the ‘poor’ category for two days.
After that, the air quality may be recorded in the ‘very poor’ category. The increasing pollution can also prove harmful to people’s health. According to the Meteorological Department, cloudy skies and light to moderate fog are also expected. Winds are likely to blow at a speed of 10-20 km per hour.
Rain Expected in Uttar Pradesh
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a moderate to heavy rainfall alert has been issued for several districts of Uttar Pradesh on January 27th and 28th. On January 25th, the maximum temperature in Lucknow is expected to be 22°C and the minimum 8°C. The cold weather will persist. Some parts of the state may experience cloudy skies and sunshine. On Saturday, various parts saw sunshine, but the wind prevented a significant drop in temperature.
Cold Wave to Intensify in Bihar
The IMD has predicted a deterioration in weather conditions in several districts of Bihar within 24 hours. Dense fog is expected in Purnea, Kishanganj, Araria, and Katihar. A cold wave warning has been issued for Darbhanga and Madhubani. In Patna, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 24°C and the minimum temperature around 13°C tomorrow.

Normal life will be affected in Uttarakhand.
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning to exercise caution in view of the possibility of avalanches in the Himalayan regions of Uttarakhand. This alert will remain in effect until 5 PM on January 25th. Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman also reviewed the situation with officials regarding rain, snowfall, and fog.
