Monsoon Update:- Monsoon havoc is being seen from the mountains to the plains. Flood-affected areas are increasing in many states of North India. Heavy rain warnings have been issued in many states, including Delhi, UP, Himachal, and Jammu. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rains are likely in the entire state of Gujarat on September 8, 2025. Along with this, heavy to heavy rains are being observed at many places. Apart from this, Punjab is facing the most severe flood tragedy in North India, with all 23 districts affected. Heavy rains are expected in Uttarakhand on September 8, 12, and 13, and in many places in western Uttar Pradesh on September 12 and 13.

Heavy rain will occur here

According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued regarding heavy rains in some areas of Odisha on September 8, 10, and 13. Heavy to hefty rains are expected to occur on September 11 and 12. The Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall in eastern Madhya Pradesh on 8 and 13 September. There may also be rain in Chhattisgarh between September 10 and 13. Light to moderate rain is expected at many places in Tripura between 9 and 11 September.

Heavy rain alert in Northeast India

According to the IMD, an alert has been issued due to rain in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on 10 and 11 September. Apart from this, a warning of light to moderate rain has been issued at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on September 10. Apart from this, heavy rain has been issued in Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh between 11 and 13 September. Apart from this, heavy to heavy rainfall is likely in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on 12 and 13 September.

Trouble due to the Yamuna water in Mathura

The water of the Yamuna River in Mathura has reached 1 kilometre inside the city. Ashrams on the banks of the ghat are filled with water up to 5 feet, and Vrindavan Parikrama Marg is submerged in water. Due to the decrease in the activity of western disturbance, there is no possibility of heavy rain in the next 3-4 days.

The effect ofthe monsoon is now seen weakening in Madhya Pradesh. There will be light rain for the next 4 days. Monsoon activity is also decreasing in Bihar. A yellow alert for rain has been issued in 20 districts.
