Unseasonal rain is being seen in Maharashtra these days. Strong winds, thunder and rain have continued in many parts of the state for the last 2 days. On May 9, the Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert in Amravati, Yavatmal, Wardha, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Bhandara, Gondia, Gadchiroli and Nandurbar. The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for rain in Nashik, Pune, Satara and Kolhapur districts for May 10.
Chhattisgarh Weather Forecast
The Raipur Meteorological Centre has issued an orange alert for many districts of Chhattisgarh, including Sukma, Bijapur, Bastar, Dantewada, Narayanpur, Kondagaon, Kanker, Dhamtari, and Gariaband. An alert has been issued regarding strong winds in these districts.
Delhi Weather Forecast
An alert has also been issued regarding rain in Delhi-NCR. A sudden spell of rain started in Delhi on Wednesday evening. Due to rain, the weather in Delhi has become very cold. People of Delhi are seen getting relief from the heat. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain today and tomorrow. During this time, light rain may occur along with lightning and thunder.
Rain warning in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, light rain with thunder and strong winds can be recorded in western India from May 8 to May 12. Lightning and strong winds can also occur in UP, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh from May 8 to 11. Along with this, light to moderate rain is also expected. Dust storms may occur at some places in western Rajasthan on 9 and 10 May. Rain is also expected in the hilly areas.
Lighting is possible in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. According to the Meteorological Department, rain with thunder and lightning is likely in Karnataka, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema from May 8 to May 12. At the same time, an alert was issued regarding thunderstorms and rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe on May 8 and 9.
