Monsoon Update:- Heavy rains and thunderstorms continue to lash several states in September. Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, and Uttarakhand are experiencing devastation due to continuous heavy rainfall. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), light rain and thunderstorms are expected in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) over the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department predicts that similar weather conditions are likely to continue until September 19. Thursday, September 18, will see partly cloudy skies. Friday, September 19, is expected to be sunny and warm. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for several cities for the next two days.

Rain Warning in Jharkhand
The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Jharkhand for the next five days. Heavy rain is expected in many areas until September 22. Strong winds of up to 30-40 kilometres per hour are also possible in some areas.

Rain Alert in Bihar
Rain warnings have been issued for several districts in Bihar on September 18th. The Meteorological Department has issued heavy rain alerts for Jamui, Munger, Banka, Bhagalpur, Khagaria, and all districts of North Bihar. Heavy rain is also expected in Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Purnia, and Katihar.

Rain Warnings in These States
According to the IMD, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are expected at many places in Tamil Nadu from September 18 to 19th. Similar rain is also likely in Kerala, Mahe, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam on September 18. Strong winds are likely to occur in coastal Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema over the next five days. According to the Meteorological Department, rain is likely at many places in Arunachal Pradesh from September 18 to 19th. Additionally, heavy rain is expected in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura from September 19 to 23. Light rain alerts have been issued for parts of Jammu and Kashmir, southeast Rajasthan, northern Punjab, northern Haryana, and coastal Andhra Pradesh over the next 24 hours.
