The Indian cruiser motorcycle market is dominated by companies like Jawa, Yezdi, and Royal Enfield, but Royal Enfield remains the leader in sales. Now, with the implementation of GST 2.0, Royal Enfield bikes have become more accessible to more customers. Following the government’s reduction in GST rates and the elimination of cess, the company has announced new prices for its entire 350cc range. This change comes into effect from September 22, 2025.
Which bikes have become cheaper by how much
All bikes with engine capacity less than 350cc will now be charged only 18% GST, instead of 28% GST and 3% cess. This major change will directly benefit customers on these Royal Enfield bikes.
Royal Enfield Hunter 350: Prices have become cheaper by ₹12,000 to ₹15,000, making its base variant available at a starting price of ₹1.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
Royal Enfield Bullet 350: This iconic bike is getting a great discount of ₹15,000 to ₹18,000.
Royal Enfield Classic 350: Known for its premium look, this bike has also become cheaper by ₹16,000 to ₹19,000. Its top-spec Goa Classic variant is now available for ₹2.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Royal Enfield Meteor 350: The price of this cruiser bike has decreased by ₹17,000 to ₹19,000.
Bikes with larger engines have become more expensive
While prices in the 350cc range have decreased, prices of bikes with engine capacity above 350cc have increased. These bikes will now be taxed at 40% GST instead of 31% (28% GST + 3% cess). This affects models like the Scram 440, Himalayan 450, Guerrilla 450, Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, and Super Meteor 650.
Royal Enfield Scram 440: Its price has increased from ₹15,131 to ₹15,641.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Its price has increased from ₹20,733 to ₹21,682.
