Monsoon Update – Heavy to Very Heavy Rain Warning for 8 States Over Next 2 Days

Monsoon Update: The India Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for several parts of the country. According to the IMD, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal around November 22nd. Rainfall has been continuing in southern Indian states for the past several days.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to heavy rainfall is expected in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on November 21st and 22nd. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Tamil Nadu from November 21st to 26th. Rain warnings have been issued for Kerala and Mahe from November 21st to 23rd, and for coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.

Weather Conditions in Delhi-NCR
Winter is intensifying in Delhi-NCR, but pollution is worsening the situation. The cold, combined with air pollution, is adding to people’s discomfort. The minimum temperature on November 22nd is expected to be 10 to 12 degrees Celsius. Additionally, temperatures may drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius on November 23rd.

Weather Conditions in Jharkhand
Night temperatures in Jharkhand may increase by about 2 degrees Celsius over the next 24 hours, but are likely to drop again afterwards. The weather may change from November 23rd, and fog, mist, and cloud cover are expected in the morning. Temperatures may drop further on November 26th and 27th.

Rainfall to Continue in These States
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to heavy rainfall is expected in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on November 22nd. An alert has been issued for heavy rain in Tamil Nadu from November 22nd to 26th. Heavy rainfall is expected in Kerala and Mahe from November 22nd to 23rd. Rainfall is also likely in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema on November 26th. Heavy rain is expected in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands from November 23rd to 24th.

The Meteorological Department has predicted strong winds in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema from November 22 to 24. Strong winds with speeds of 50 to 60 kilometres per hour are expected on November 23.
