Heavy Rainfall with Thunder and Lightning in These States

According to the IMD (India Meteorological Department), an alert for heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning has been issued for Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, and West Bengal. Additionally, alerts ranging from moderate rainfall to heavy showers accompanied by thunder have been issued for Sikkim, Assam, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, and Kerala. During this period, a warning for strong winds gusting at speeds of 40 to 50 kilometres per hour has also been issued. Farmers have been urged to exercise extreme caution.

According to the Meteorological Department, strong winds are likely to blow across Delhi during the morning hours on April 13. In the afternoon, temperatures could rise by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius. For tomorrow, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to hover around 34 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is projected to be around 22 degrees Celsius.

According to the IMD, an alert for light rainfall accompanied by strong winds has been issued for Eastern UP on April 13. In several districts of Western UP, there is a possibility that hot, dry winds (heatwave-like conditions) could lead to increased discomfort. Alerts regarding severe heat have been issued for specific districts across the state. Temperatures are also expected to rise in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Aligarh, Mathura, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Ghazipur, and Deoria; no rainfall alerts have been issued for these areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, a warning has been issued for Uttarakhand regarding moderate rainfall accompanied by strong winds in the higher-altitude regions on April 13. Rain alerts have been issued for several districts across the state; specifically, rainfall is anticipated in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Nainital, Chamoli, Champawat, Almora, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh.
