PM Narendra Modi Expresses Grief

PM Narendra Modi has expressed condolences over the Kurnool bus road accident and announced compensation for the families of the victims. PM Modi said, “My thoughts are with the affected people and their families during this difficult time.” I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.

He said that an ex gratia of ₹2 lakh will be given to the families of each deceased from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. The injured will also receive ₹50,000. Other political figures have also expressed grief over the incident.

For information, the Vemuri Kaveri Travels bus was travelling from the travel office in Patancheru, Hyderabad, to Bengaluru at 9 pm on Thursday. The bus burst into flames upon reaching Chinnatekur in Kallur Mandal at 3 am on Friday.

It appears the accident occurred when the bus hit a motorcycle. Some reports suggest that the motorcycle fell under the bus, causing a petrol leak, which ignited the fire. The fire quickly spread throughout the bus. This accident brought tears to everyone’s eyes.
