Monsoon Update – Heavy rainfall likely in 11 states, including Tamil Nadu, next 36 hours

Monsoon Alert – The effects of Cyclone Montha are being felt in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, resulting in widespread rainfall. The continuous downpour has caused significant damage to paddy and other Kharif crops. Farmers are grieving the unseasonal rain.

Heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms is being experienced in many areas of the southern states. Furthermore, the rain has made life difficult in the northeastern states. Late-night rain in several areas of Jharkhand worsened the situation. Rain is forecast for several states.

Heavy Rain Warning Here

The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain in Chandauli, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Siddharthnagar, Deoria, and Kushinagar. Thunderstorms and lightning could be a disaster in the surrounding areas. Farmers’ crops are likely to be destroyed due to the rain and winds.

Meanwhile, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, and Ghazipur may experience rain. Rain accompanied by strong winds is expected. In addition, heavy rain is expected in Azamgarh, Mau, Siddharthnagar, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, and Ballia. A heavy rain alert has been issued for Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Shravastinagar, Ambedkar Nagar, and surrounding areas.

Rainfall Expected in Several States

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in many parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh. Thunderstorms and rain are possible in various parts of Telangana, Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka. Rainfall and bad weather are possible in many parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.

Alert to Stay Away from Coastal Areas

Local authorities have advised people to stay away from coastal areas due to the possibility of a storm. Along with this, it has been advised to stay away from the Gujarat coast as well as its nearby sea areas on November 1 and from many nearby areas of the East Central Arabian Sea on November 1 to 2.
