Possibility of rain with strong winds

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains and rain with winds in many districts of Bihar. According to the IMD, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in Buxar, Bhojpur, Bhabua, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Khagaria and Bhagalpur, including the capital Patna. Heavy rain with thunderstorms may occur in Munger, Banka and Jamui.

A warning of lightning has also been issued here. Strong winds are expected at a speed of 30 to 40kilometress per hour at all these places. Due to strong winds, trees or the power supply may come to a complete standstill.

How much rain was recorded where?

Heavy rains in all areas of the state in a day led to a drop in temperature, which also provided relief to the people from the scorching heat. The highest rainfall of 24.2 mm was recorded in Masaurhi of Patna district of Bihar. Villages and towns were submerged due to 24 mm of rain in Raghunathpur of Siwan. 22.2 mm of rain was recorded in Dulhin Bazar of Patna, 21.6 mm in Rajpur of Buxar, and 20 mm in Naubatpur of Patna.

Heavy rain again from 8 September

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain starting again from Monday, 8 September. IMD has issued a warning of heavy rain, especially in Jamui, Banka and West Champaran. Life here may be affected. Along with this, continuous rain can cause waterlogging, disruption in power supply and a lot of problems in road traffic.
