According to IMD, no warning has been issued regarding rain in Bihar. The weather is expected to remain dry and normal in the entire state. A temperature increase of 3-4 degrees is expected. Additionally, light rain with thunderstorms is expected in some cities. There is also very little chance of rain until June 10, after which the level of heat can increase significantly.
Talking about the past days, the weather has taken the lives of 6 people. Rain and thunderstorms have wreaked havoc in the six surrounding districts, including the capital, Patna. Two people lost their lives due to lightning in Bhagalpur.
Two people died due to a tree falling in Darbhanga. Heavy rain and thunderstorms on Friday have completely affected air traffic. Additionally, it was decided to divert three Indigo and one Air India flight to Varanasi.
When will the rainy season start?
According to the IMD, the rainy season is going to start again in Bihar. It is estimated that moist winds from the southwest will be active from the night of June 10. Due to the formation of a new system in the Bay of Bengal, an alert has been issued for heavy rains in northern and eastern Bihar.
It will gradually expand throughout the state. Currently, due to the absence of any cyclonic system and the impact of hot winds from North India, the temperature appears to be increasing. The minimum night temperature has also been recorded 2-3 degrees higher.
