The bridge collapsed when people were on it. According to preliminary information, about 30 people have drowned. The Talegaon Dabhade police of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Commissionerate have reached the spot. This bridge is built to cross Kundmala. People keep coming and going here.

The bridge, which was bustling with tourists, was ancient and had reached a dilapidated state. Some people had come on the bridge with bikes. Due to an overpass, a part of the bridge fell. As soon as the information about the tragic incident was received, the local police and 12 ambulances reached the spot, where the injured are being taken out and sent to the hospital. Relief and rescue work are underway by the rescue team.
