Pune Bridge Collapse: A horrific accident took place on Sunday in Kundmala of the Maval area of ​​Pune. There are reports of 25 to 30 people being swept away in this accident, while 15 to 20 people are feared to have drowned. There has been a sensation among the people after this accident. Following this tragic accident, the local administration immediately initiated rescue operations. So far six to seven people have been rescued, but there are still reports of many people missing.

This bridge is said to be very old, and many tourists were present on the bridge at the time of the accident, which occurred on a Sunday. The ambulance, fire brigade and crane have reached the spot, and the rescue operation is currently underway.

The distance of Kundmala from Pune is 30 km. This place is located before entering the expressway on the way to Mumbai.

According to initial information, this bridge was already in a severely deteriorated condition. At the time of the accident, there were more tourists on the bridge than its capacity. People were carrying two-wheelers and motorcycles.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the bridge has collapsed and some people have also been injured in it, who have been taken to the hospital. Some people are stranded, and the NDRF team is en route to the spot to rescue them. There is also a possibility that some people may be swept away.

Following the accident, a stir is created among the people present. A minister of the government has left for the spot. It is reported that the victims of the accident had gone to see the flow of water in the river, and during that time, a major accident occurred due to the collapse of the bridge. MLA Sunil Shelke has confirmed the death of 6 people due to drowning in the river. The death toll may increase even more.
