Bihar Election 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken a major decision and released its first list of candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections. In the first list, it has allocated symbols to candidates for 71 assembly seats. The most surprising thing is that Nand Kishore Yadav has not been given a ticket from Patna Sahib. He is a seven-time MLA, but the BJP has denied him his ticket.
This time, Ratnesh Kushwaha has been nominated from Patna Sahib. In the NDA’s seat-sharing arrangement, the BJP has secured 101 seats. Candidates will still have to be fielded in 30 more seats. The BJP will release its second list soon. The party has denied tickets to some prominent candidates this time. The nomination process for the first and second phases is progressing rapidly. Candidates nominated by the BJP can now file their nominations.
Ramsurat Rai’s ticket was also cancelled.
In addition to Nand Kishore Yadav’s ticket from Patna Sahib, Minister Motlal Prasad has also been dropped. The BJP has denied him a ticket from Riga. Ramsurat Rai’s ticket has been denied by Aurai. MLC and Health Minister Mangal Pandey have been nominated from Siwan.
Former JDU MP Sunil Kumar Pintu has rejoined the BJP and has been nominated from Sitamarhi. Arun Prasad has been nominated from the Khajauli assembly seat. There was initially speculation that the seat would go to Upendra Kushwaha, but that didn’t happen. Veteran BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav has expressed his gratitude to the party for denying him his ticket.
What did Nand Kishore Yadav say about the ticket being denied?
Nand Kishore Yadav has spoken highly of the BJP after being denied his ticket from Patna Sahib. He said, “I stand with the BJP’s decision. The BJP has given me a lot.” He further stated, “I have no complaints with the party. I welcome the new generation and congratulate them. The people of Patna Sahib assembly have made me victorious seven consecutive times.” Nand Kishore Yadav further stated, “I will never forget the love and affection they showered on me as a BJP candidate. I am grateful to everyone for that.”
When will the elections be held?
Preparations for the Bihar Assembly elections are underway at a rapid pace. According to the Election Commission’s guidelines, voting will be held in two phases. The first phase of voting will be held on November 6th and the second phase on November 11th. The results will be declared on November 14th, 2025. This election is also expected to be a contest between the NDA and the Grand Alliance.
