Moreover, the government is actively working to integrate the entire agricultural sector into a fully digital framework through the use of technology. This initiative will eliminate the scope for middlemen and fraudulent activities.
How to Apply
Do not be concerned at all regarding the process of obtaining a Farmer ID Card. The government has designed the procedure for obtaining this card to be quite simple and user-friendly; even farmers in rural areas can easily complete the process. You will need to visit either the official PM Kisan portal or the official website of your respective state’s Department of Agriculture.
Key Points to Note
To begin, you must visit the portal and enter your Aadhaar number along with your registered mobile number.
Subsequently, you will receive a One-Time Password (OTP).
Following the OTP verification, you will be required to update your land records (Khatauni) and bank account details.
Once these steps are completed, your digital ID will be generated based on your Aadhaar details.
Alternatively, if you encounter any difficulties while filling out the online form, you can visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) to complete this entire process in just a few minutes.
