There is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms in 19 districts of Bihar. In some districts, severe heat will be seen becoming a problem for the people. Rain warning in these districts of Bihar

According to the weather department, an alert has been issued for heavy rain with thunderstorms in East and West Champaran and Gopalganj. Heavy rain can also become a problem for people in Shivhar, Sitamarhi, Madhubani and Supaul. Apart from these, an alert has been issued for heavy rain with thunderstorms in Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar and Madhepura.

There is a possibility of strong winds blowing at a speed of 50-80 km per hour along with gusts in Saharsa, Samastipur. IMD has issued an orange alert regarding lightning and thunder. It has been advised to be cautious in view of the possibility of lightning here.

Severe heat in the last 24 hours

According to IMD, the temperature of 42.4 degrees in Rohtas on Tuesday made people sweat. Not only this, it was also the hottest district in the past day. The temperature of Gaya and Patna has also been recorded above 40 degrees. Along with this, there has been no significant change in the heat wave situation. Heat waves are going to continue here on Wednesday as well.

Along with this, light to moderate rain is expected in some areas of South Bihar from Wednesday night. The alert of heavy rain and thunderstorm in North and East Bihar is likely to continue till Thursday. According to IMD, monsoon may enter from Purnia and Kishanganj around June 17.
