Delhi EV Policy 2026:- To reduce pollution in the capital, the Delhi government has implemented the Delhi Electric Vehicle (EV) policy. Additionally, the government has launched a portal for EV subsidies. The official portal, http://evsubsidy.delhi.gov.in, was launched today to ensure the benefits of the new EV policy reach every resident of Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Delhi Cabinet Minister Rekha Gupta stated that citizens would now be able to easily apply for EV subsidies and other incentives from the comfort of their homes.

Under the new EV policy, buyers of electric two-wheelers will receive a subsidy of ₹30,000, while electric three-wheelers will also be eligible for a subsidy. Additionally, the government has decided to provide a subsidy of up to ₹1 lakh for N1 category vehicles (light commercial vehicles) and grant a complete exemption from road tax and registration fees for all electric cars priced below ₹30 lakh. When can one avail of the electric vehicle subsidy?
To avail the subsidy benefit when purchasing an electric vehicle (EV) in Delhi, it is mandatory to apply online through the Delhi EV Subsidy Portal within 30 days of the vehicle’s Registration Certificate (RC) being issued. Once the government verifies your application, the subsidy amount will be transferred directly to your bank account within 60 days.

What is the subsidy amount?
Under this policy, a subsidy of up to ₹30,000 will be provided to buyers of electric two-wheelers. Buyers of electric three-wheelers will receive ₹50,000, and a ₹1 lakh subsidy will be provided for N1-category light commercial vehicles.

Visit the Delhi government’s Delhi EV Subsidy Portal.
Register on the portal and log in by entering the vehicle’s registration number and chassis number.
Upload scanned PDF copies of all required documents to the portal. Submit the form after filling in all the details.
You will receive an acknowledgement number that will allow you to track the status of your application.
