UP Board 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced the dates for the 2026 Compartment and Improvement examinations for Class 10 (High School) and Class 12 (Intermediate). Compartment exams will be conducted for students who secured low marks in the main examination or failed in one or two subjects. The Board has confirmed that these examinations will be held on July 28.

High School Exams in the Morning; Intermediate Exams in the Afternoon
High School examinations will be conducted from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM, while Intermediate examinations will take place in the afternoon shift from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. A total of 42,078 candidates are registered to appear for these exams, comprising 20,851 High School students and 21,227 Intermediate students.

Time Table:

Class 10 – Compartment/Improvement: 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM
Class 12 – Compartment: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM
The UP Board has explicitly instructed all students to arrive at the examination centre 30 minutes before the reporting time.

Strict Measures at Exam Centres 

The UP Board has implemented stringent measures this time to curb cheating. Compartment exams will be conducted only at designated centres located at district headquarters.

Key Security Features:

CCTV cameras equipped with routers and voice recorders will be installed in every classroom. Question papers will be stored in double-locked cupboards. The question paper packet will be opened only in the presence of the centre administrator, the external administrator, and the magistrate.

Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre 45 minutes before the exam begins. Mobile phones, smartwatches, and other electronic devices are not permitted inside the examination hall.

Compartment practical exams on July 16–17
Project-based practical exams/internal assessments for the High School Compartment/Improvement examination and practical exams for the Intermediate Compartment examination will be conducted on July 16 and 17. Examiners will be appointed by regional offices, and the exams will be held at designated government or government-aided schools under the supervision of the District Inspector of Schools.
