iQOO Neo 10R or Nothing Phone 3a: Mid-range phones are now packed with flagship features, and it has become hard for users to decide which one to opt for. Two of the highly discussed phones are the iQOO Neo 10R and Nothing Phone 3a. Both of them released on the same date and feature beefed-up specs, sleek looks, and competitive prices. But which one provides more value for money?

Performance Comparison

The iQOO Neo 10R is powered by the newer Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor with a top speed of 3 GHz, paired with LPDDR5X RAM. The Nothing Phone 3a, on the other hand, is driven by Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and LPDDR4X RAM. Benchmark testing reveals an enormous difference: the iQOO achieved a score of 1,476,651 on AnTuTu, while the Nothing Phone 3a had 798,022. Evidently, iQOO dominates processing and gaming performance.

Display Experience

Both have AMOLED displays more than 6.7 inches in diameter. The Neo 10R, though, boasts a higher 1260×2800 px resolution and more rapid 144Hz refresh rate. It also reaches a remarkable peak of 4500 nits. Nothing Phone 3a trails slightly with a 1080×2392 px display and 120Hz refresh rate, and a lower 3000 nits peak brightness. The Neo 10R delivers a better visual experience across the board.

Camera Capabilities

Paper-wise, the Nothing Phone 3a is better prepared with a triple camera system that comes equipped with a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. The Neo 10R has only a dual system. Both devices come with a 50MP main and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, but Nothing’s extra telephoto camera provides more flexibility. For selfies, both incorporate a 32MP front-facing camera, though iQOO is capable of recording in 4K and Nothing is only able to do 1080p.

Battery and Charging

Neo 10R takes a serious advantage with its humongous 6400mAh battery and 80W flash charging, which takes the battery to 50% in 26 minutes. Nothing Phone 3a features a 5000mAh battery and 50W fast charging, which goes to 50% in 19 minutes. iQOO also offers longer battery life in PC Mark tests, which lasts more than 16 hours against Nothing’s 14 hours.

Storage and Software

Both phones come with up to 256GB storage, but iQOO utilizes faster UFS 3.1 than Nothing Phone 3a’s UFS 2.2. In terms of software, both have Android 15 and guarantee 3 years of OS updates. Nothing takes the lead on security updates with a 6-year guarantee, as opposed to iQOO’s 4 years.

Build and Design

iQOO Neo 10R is marginally lighter at 196g compared to Nothing’s 201g. Both devices are splash-proof with IP ratings and feature a punch-hole display design. iQOO has the advantage of an IP65 rating, one better than Nothing’s IP64, and is marginally thinner in build.
