Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: The battle of premium smartphones is going to get intense once again as Samsung gears up to take the wraps off the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The next generation of flagships is already generating buzz with upgraded internals, a refreshing design, and faster charging. So, here is how the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra stands against its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, on price, design, and performance grounds.
S26 Ultra vs S25 Ultra: Price and Launch Timeline
The Galaxy S26 Ultra will reportedly come to India with a price starting at Rs 1,59,999 for the variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. If Samsung follows the usual pattern, then the launch should happen sometime in January 2026 along with the other devices in the S26 series.
In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is available for Rs 1,29,999 for the same configuration. Buyers can get the phone in four elegant color options — Titanium Whitesilver, Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, and Titanium Silverblue — which gives it a modern look on the lines of other flagships.
Design and Features Upgrades
As per the design, it looks like Samsung is refining its aesthetics, but not reinventing them. The flat-edged premium look on the predecessor could remain on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, but it may feature a camera island setup instead of floating lenses for a more unified and bold appearance.
The device might sport a 6.9-inch M14 OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz for a seamless display with the most vibrant colors. On the other hand, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra retains a 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display for immersive viewing, also capable of supporting a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth and lag-free scrolling.
